Hello!  I'm Sarah Hipps, welcome to my website and thank you for visiting.  I'm an educator, wife, mother, and lifelong learner.  I'm a proud Spartan, with both my undergraduate and graduate degrees earned from Michigan State University's College of Education.

I was born and raised on a dairy farm in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula before moving "down below" after college and getting married.  My farming roots instilled in me a deep love of nature and a strong work ethic. My husband and I have five wonderful children who span the school-age spectrum. We have one in college, two in high school and two in elementary school.  They bring us joy, keep our house loud but full of life and friends, as well as highlight the importance of learning every day.

I originally began my life as an educator in elementary education.  After staying home for 10 years as a full-time mom, I found my way back into education.  I now work in higher education with a focus on international education, teacher preparation and training, and as a field instructor for intern students.  I love my work and am passionate about not only helping others learn (both children and adults) but about continuing to learn myself.
